Generative AI is increasingly powerful. We have a choice in how we choose to relate to it, from fear to excitement. More specifically, we can choose the roles we wish GenAI to play in complementing and supporting us in our work and play.

This framework covers 20 useful roles that GenAI can play. We just need to choose which ones will be of most value to us, and then develop the skills to get the most out of it playing each of these roles.

A very interesting new paper built on a meta-analysis of 1,585 research articles has created an interesting new taxonomy and terminology distinctions on the field of prompting.

Interesting aspects included its decomposition of chain-of-thought structures as well as prompts with different aspects of ‘self-criticism’ to achieve better outcomes.
