A small ask!! If you have listened to and liked the Amplifying Cognition podcast, I would be deeply grateful for a like or one line review on iTunes or Spotify. That would be extremely helpful! 🙏🙂
This week’s podcast on building an AI-assisted creative agency (with humans at the center) has received a lot of attention. I’m beginning to do quite a lot of work with major agencies as they integrate AI and transform their workflows to Humans + AI. The pace of change required is challenging but there are absolutely massive opportunities.

Tools for identifying assumptions and reframing questions
One of the most useful applications of AI-augmented thinking is to check and refine the frame for our thinking, including surfacing implicit assumptions in our thinking that others might not see or tell us about.
On our Humans + AI Explorers Community member Simon Buckminster-Shum, Professor at the UTS Connected Intelligence Centre, shared Qreframer, a GPT he has created to reflect assumptions underlying questions.
Go to the comments on the post to find additional extensive prompts for assumption checking and first principles thinking, including problem decomposition and challenging assumptions.
👩🤖Humans + AI update
AI to improve court strategy and processes
“Brazil's government is hiring OpenAI to expedite the screening and analysis of thousands of lawsuits using artificial intelligence (AI), trying to avoid costly court losses that have weighed on the federal budget.”
AI to find and assist the right connections at an event
AI engineer Swizec Teller has created a very promising AI app that uses vector similarity search, not only to identify who you should speak to, but also to offer talking points to surface your common interests.
$1 million in prizes for new paths to AGI
here is $1m up for grabs for achieving human-level performance at the Abstraction and Reasoning Corpus (ARC), which is designed to assess the efficiency of skill-acquisition on unknown tasks.
