AI in strategy, developing good judgment, improving foresight, societal simulations, and more
“Everything we love about civilization is a product of intelligence, so amplifying our human intelligence with artificial intelligence has the potential of helping civilization flourish like never before – as long as we manage to keep the technology beneficial.” – Max Tegmark
Amplifying yourself
Over the last couple of months I have been diving deep into AI development. I am not usually single-handedly building applications, but building prototypes to guide my dev teams, designing product architectures, and creating humans + AI workflows for my teams
I have also finally set up OpenClaw, after initially being cautious on the security implications. I have modified the basic security parameters and will only give it external access on a case-by-case basis, but using the platform will help me with agentic design. All this with the intent to amplify my thinking and intent further. I’ll be sharing practical insights along the journey.
Be well!
Ross

Framework: Humans + AI workflow elements
Humans + AI update: How to develop good judgment, societal-level behavioral simulations, and how humans and AI agents work best together.
Humans + AI Podcast: Felipe Csaszar on AI in strategy, AI evaluations of startups, improving foresight, and distributed representations of strategy
💡Framework: Humans + AI workflow elements
This is the framework Lisa Carlin and I used in our “Using AI to Design an AI-First Culture” workshop this week. I’ll share some of the workshop insights next week. In the meantime you can consider what sequence of these elements - allocated to either humans or AI - might be effective in your current work projects.
🧠🤖Humans + AI
How do development good judgment in the AI era
An article in Harvard Business Review examines the impact of bringing GenAI into work, the different kinds of judgment at play, and how to help workers to develop useful judgment to complement AI.
Societal-level multi-agent human behavior modelling
A new company Simile has been launched that allows users to build complex society-level simulations based on increasingly accurate AI models of human behavior, with celebrity investors including Andrej Karpathy and Fei-Fei Li.
How humans work with AI agents

A very useful in-depth study out this week on how humans work with AI agents. The research analyzed 2,200 participants in the process of creating 11,000 advertisements, analyzing speed, quality, and creative variety.
🎙️This week’s podcast episode
Felipe Csaszar on AI in strategy, AI evaluations of startups, improving foresight, and distributed representations of strategy |
Why you should listen
Felipe Csaszar is one of the world’s leading researchers and thinkers on strategy, now focusing on the application of AI to strategy as a complement to human cognition. Absolutely aligned with the Humans + AI theme.
