We are witnessing the emergence of a whole new generation and breed of Humans + AI professional services firms, leapfrogging legacy firm structures with entirely fresh models. The newest and boldest is Unity Advisory, led by former heads of EY and PwC UK and backed by US$300m.

Microsoft's head of HR AI strategy has shared details of their approach, centered on all staff building AI agents to scale their capabilities and demonstrate value, within a frame of human-AI integration.

The rise of Frontier Firms driven by AI

Microsoft's annual Work Index Report is always excellent, a must-read, and the new one released today is no exception. At the core is the idea of Frontier Firms—organizations with mature AI strategies and active agent use—which report double the success rates of others: 71% of their workers say the company is thriving versus 37% globally. These employees are also more likely to say they do meaningful work (90% vs. 73%) and can take on more workload (55% vs. 20%).
