7 principles for Agent Experience (AX), AI in the boardroom, catalyzing critical thinking, and more
"The most exciting breakthroughs of the 21st century will not occur because of technology but because of an expanded concept of what it means to be human."
— John Naisbitt
Historic perspective on AI today
In the rapidly emerging Agent Economy, AI agents will be your customers. This means you need to complement your Customer Experience (CX) initiatives with Agent Experience (AX) design. See my mini-report on Agent Experience (AX): 7 core principles for when your customers are agents.
An increasing proportion of my work is working with boards not just on AI roadmaps and strategy, but also on applying AI to improving board performance and outcomes. A nice HBR paper shared below provides research insights on this topic from my recent podcast guest Christian Stadler.
Be well!

💡Report: Agent Experience (AX): 7 core principles for when your customers are agents
The rise of the agent economy means agents will soon be a leading interface to customers’ interaction with companies.
Companies now need to focus not just on Customer Experience (CX) but also Agent Experience (AX).
Read the mini-report for the 7 principles to succeed in a world where machines increasingly evaluate, select, and integrate with services on behalf of human customers.
🧠🤖Humans + AI
What happens when you build Humans + AI teams
MIT researchers paired 2,310 people into human-human and human-AI teams to create real ads in a collaborative workspace with some fascinating outcomes—tracking 183K messages, 2m copy edits, and over 5m ad impressions.

Summary of key insights
How AI can nudge better team collaboration and decisions
This is a very high-value application of LLMs. A conversational AI acting as a devil’s advocate can improve group decision-making by subtly reshaping social dynamics, challenging dominant opinions and enabling more inclusive perspectives.
There is great potential in AI "nudging" more useful human group collaboration, in everything from student work through board discussions. This study is a solid step.

How to use AI in the boardroom
Recent Amplifying Cognition guest Christian Stadler with chair of BCG Henderson Institute Martin Reeves have written a Harvard Business Review article on lessons learned from applying AI in board meetings of a client. They used three kinds of interventions to generate three major implications.
